Microblading is a semi-permanent tattooing technique that creates fine hairlike strokes for those with fine or thinning brows. You will be left with natural looking brows from the next 12-24 months. No more having to draw in your brows everyday!
Each hairstroke is created by hand with a small multi needle tool that produces a natural looking line that blends with the existing eyebrow hairs. The luxury of Microblading is that the shape of your eyebrows will not expand as in other techniques because of the intricate and detailed application.
The difference between traditional tattooing and microblading is the depth in which the ink is placed. Microblading being in the upper region of the dermis whereas tattooing occurs deeper into the dermis. Traditionally microblading last 12-24 months due to variations in skin type and age.
If you call Mindy’s Massage and Wellness we will take your information and have Mimi, our Advanced Esthetician, call you back and schedule an appointment. You can also reach out to Mimi directly at 315-404-2374 . Mimi will schedule a time for your consultation and first appointment – same day. Please plan for this process to take approximately 3 hours as you will leave with the initial application of the services you desire. All services are done at Mindy’s Massage and Wellness.
Your first session will include a consultation, drawing out the brows for desired shape until you are pleased the many details of your brow as explained by Mimi. Next, we will numb the eyebrow area and begin the application of microblading. There will be photographs taken of before and after as well as a review of what to expect in the days following your appointment. You will book a follow up 8-10 weeks later. That second appointment is approximately 1.5 – 2 hours in length.
If you desire only eyeliner and/or lips you will need to discuss appointment length for consultation and application with Mimi. This is a one appointment application with varying longevity. Picking which service for you may seem tricky when you don’t know if Microblading or Ombré Powder is best for your skin type or age. That makes sense but you may have noticed that Microblading and Ombré Powder are the same price and this is because Mimi is going to discuss the best option based on your consultation. She will help you navigate that before she gets started and will discuss if Combo Brows is actually the best choice. The combo brow is just like it sounds – a bit of microblading at the inner corners of the brows blended to ombre powder at the outside corners. The extra expense comes with applying two different techniques to your brows.
